Dear Mama…

It’s been 30 years.

No words can describe how much you’ve done for me, for us.

Ever since the first moment I could only lay down in my crib and cry, up until the moment we argued about things and I made you cry… 😥

You’ve been a great (home)cook, one who prepared everything early in the morning while rushing yourself to the office.

You’ve been the best supporter, one who’s always there when I was having a rough time with… anything.

You’ve been a father, one who stood on your own feet, solely strived for the three offspring.

You’ve been a truest friend, one who’s never hesitant to told me in the eyes whenever I did something wrong, even though we’re often ended-up arguing.

You’ve been an amazing psychic, one who always knew if something’s wrong with your child(ren), only by hearing his/her voice.

YOU’VE BEEN A MOTHER.

One who was willing to share your blood, your breath, and your body to your children, literally, for 9 months time, and beyond.

One with many weaknesses but always looked strong.

One who has experienced countless bitterness in life, but refused to show it and chose to stay sweet instead.

One who (definitely) has flaws, but always tried to do the best you could, for your children.

One who was ordinary, but has been given the strength by TheAlmighty to be extraordinary.

One whose love and care are unconditional.

عَنْ أَبِيْ هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُوْلِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ :يَا رَسُوْلَ اللهِ، مَنْ أَحَقُّ النَّاسِ بِحُسْنِ صَحَابَتِي؟ قَالَ أُمُّكَ، قَالَ ثُمَّ مَنْ؟ قَالَ أُمُّكَ، قَالَ ثُمَّ مَنْ؟ قَالَ أُمُّكَ، قَالَ ثُمَّ مَنْ، قَالَ أَبُوْكَ

Dari Abu Hurairah radhiyallaahu ‘anhu, beliau berkata:

“Seseorang datang kepada Rasulullah shalallahu ‘alaihi wasallam dan berkata, ‘Wahai Rasulullah, kepada siapakah aku harus berbakti pertama kali?’ Nabi shalallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam menjawab, ‘Ibumu!’ Dan orang tersebut kembali bertanya, ‘Kemudian siapa lagi?’ Nabi shalallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam menjawab, ‘Ibumu!’ Orang tersebut bertanya kembali, ‘Kemudian siapa lagi?’ Beliau menjawab, ‘Ibumu.’ Orang tersebut bertanya kembali, ‘Kemudian siapa lagi?’, Nabi shalallahu ‘alaihi wasallam menjawab, ‘Kemudian Ayahmu.’” (HR. Bukhari dan Muslim)
